I have a Winchester 52C which has the original stock with the barrel band and the 3 spacers in it that it beds on. I am not shure that after all of these years the bedding is as good as it should be, was wondering if anyone here would know of a solution to making new resilient spacers to keep the gun original? Is there a material available that would duplicate the black rubber like pads Winchester used? I know I could easily do a glass job on the gun but would rather keep it original. I tested the gun the other day and while it still shoots well I feel it is not up to what it could be maybe. If anyone has any expirience with this sort of thing all replies would be welcome, like I say I would like to keep the gun original rather than altering the stock, the black rubber pads seem kind of hard and maybe even have shrunk up a bit like I say and not shure if they are doing a good job.
