Does anyone know the inside diameter measurement of the Wilson Chamber
Type Bullet Seater from the bullet end for a .224 bullet ?
I have a Belding & Mull Bullet Seater for a .22 Hornet & it measures .230
inside with calipers and wondered if the the Wilson was the same ?

Thanks Very Much

My wilson .223rem bullet seater measures .226" with calipers. A more accurate reading would be with gage pins but I don't have any handy.

I've got a 22PPC seater that measures just a smidge over 0.224. Have no pins either.

Hornet Seater

My Wilson seater for my 22k hornet measures .224. I don't know if this is any help but when reloading components first came out for the Hornet the bullet makers offered them in .223 dia. and .224.

Thanks for the answers. The handle & stem to push the bullet in
measures .225 & I'm wondering if the inside tapers down as it gets
near the case mouth ?

OK, so

Prince, you can't measure an inside diameter with calipers because the jaws are not in line with each other. You aren't measuring a true diameter and you will always get a reading smaller than actual diameter.

use an inside tool and measure it w/ a micrometer. No one who wants a real measurement will use a caliper anyway
