Will the new Savage target trigger fit an

Will the new Savage 110 target trigger (6 ounce) fit an older Savage 110 made in the 80's or does the reciever require machining? thanks in advance.
 
My understanding is that the Accu-Trigger will not fit the older rifles. Sharpshooter Supply (SSS) and Rifle Basix both make triggers for older Savage rifles that can be adjusted to give light pulls. I haven't used the Rifle Basix trigger, but the SSS triggers work well.
 
Correct. The AccuTrigger actions have a couple of extra places milled out that the standard actions don't have.
