Wild River Air Rifle - USARB Report Indoor November 28, 2012

The results pretty much say no one used backup pellets today! It was great having Wacky Wayne of Field Target fame in Ashland join us today. No, despite rumors, we do Not require non FWB shooters to shoot at 27 yards indoors. Good shooting, all.

Looking at those scores Paul I'm not sure we want Wild River joining us ;)

Just kidding, they will be more than welcome and I'm sure mid week scores won't be a problem.

Brian

Great scores guys, although I feel a little sorry for Chris....shoot a 749-42X and it's only good for third place:eek: WOW!
Todd

Paul and Brian,
Thanks for the info. We would LOVE to join the postal match. I filled out the info for the website but don't have the okay yet.
Paul, you mentioned the first two cards, is that what is entered in the match? Is there a particular number of shooters that can enter from a single club? I would have 7 to 8 interested, shooting HV. Our regular shoot date is Wednesday, January 9th. Would that be a problem> If so, I could find out if we could replace our scheduled Silhouette match on Wednesday, January 2nd. If those don't work, we'll root you on from the sidelines. If we're restricted to a team of 3, I'll use the top 3 shooters in our last posting.
Brian, thanks for taking the leadership and action on this. I love the comraderie of benchrest shooters around the world.
Todd, Chris was looking to WIN the match so you can imagine his disappointment of getting one 9 out of 75 shots and getting 3rd place!
;->

Mike,
Tony Male and Colin Evans are the people doing the postal match.
Brian_K runs the Forum. It took only a day for Brian to OK me for the forum.

No limit on the number of shooters. The club from VASPO will have up to 20 shooters.

I copied the post from Tony about your club below. When you get the OK on the UK Forum you can work out your shoot date with Tony.

Tony,
Another club from the northwest USA shoots indoors 25 yard on Wednesday's 2 times a month. They shoot FWB P-70's
Last Tue's report.

Sent them your post. I know they only have the range on Wednesday's?

That will be fine, just get the scores over when they have shot, ideally the wednesday before which will be the 2nd January.

That way we can publish the scores soon after the 5th & 6th without hanging on.

Also, if they shoot on that date then some may be still the worse for wear after New Years Eve, those scores are incredible. There is a bit of a theme with FWB's, did they buy a job lot?

Tony
p.s. note to self - STOP SELLING MEDAL WINNING RIFLES!!!

We will be shooting on Wednesday, the 5th. Like you Paul, we will submit the first two targets, not best of 3 to keep it fair.
Thanks for the heads up on this, we're looking forward to it. Think the 50m folks have an advantage? I haven't shot one of the big power
rifles yet. I suppose like everyone else, just find the right barrel and pellet combination and above all, don't sneeze with your finger on the trigger.
