Wild River Air Rifle - USARB Report
January 25, 2012
It looked great to see 9 benches occupied for our indoor match today. Travelers included Wayne Burns from Ashland and Dennis DiFeo from Eugene. The highlight of the day was an indoor record for our range and club with Ron Silveira shooting a 250/24X. It just doesn’t get much better. Ten 250’s today kept the scores tight until the end.

Great soup again Carol!

How can a guy keep up with this crowd:) .. my HV gun was doing pretty good, but not for this group.. my LV rig is gonna get a new barrel as soon as I can get one to try...it's just not cutting the grade... totally crazy flyers in all directions, with every pellet that shoots good in my other rigs.. go figgure! But man, I'm having fun.. just love this game!

WOW!!!
Way to go Ron! Not only a 750 but a record 250 24X. What a great match when 6 people shoot 250's.

Mike,
Did you have any time to work on Carol's Steyr? Thanks for running the matches and keeping us up to date with your match reports.

Paul

Someone needs to check Ron's DNA. These last targets gave him a perfect 2,250 in the USA Scoreline best 9 of 15 targets and 143X out of a possible 225X. This is a 64% X count. Must be something in the water.

Cris,

I was thinking the same thing.. been drinking all the Grants Pass water I can... but only have to pee a lot.. no perfect scores for me:).. maybe it's the air... I'll have to try breathing more:) ... or it could be, Ron has a great FWB, great pellets, and HE'S A DAMN GOOD SHOOTER!!!!

Paul.
Yes, we did some work on Carol's Steyr. Dennis from Eugene brought a couple of barrels with him and we tried them. The .22 was so-so but the LW .177 is looking good. 5 shots through the same hole...not a ragged hole but one just barely over the size of a pellet. Her question: what to do with 8 tins of .22 and 5 more in the mail. In .177, H&N was ok but best grouping was JSB. She's going to keep it a .177 now. Carol did shoot a 250 with my FWB in the match and will shoot her Steyr in our next. She hasn't tried a whole target with the Steyr as a .177 yet. It ISN'T free floated.

WOW
Great shooting . I hope that I get the change to shoot with you people some time . The best to you and yours Rick

All I can say is: Great shooting, and I'm impressed - along with everybody else!

Mike,
Thanks for Carol's update. Glad I am not the only one getting tomato stakes disguised as barrels. What weight pellets .177 has she tried? Mine shot AA 8.4 in 4.52 the best. My last card durning the snow storm I changed to 10.3 JSB in 4.52 and did awful. Today I shot indoor's and using 8.4 shot a 249. The next card tried 10.3 and only shot a low 240.
Have a week to find a heavy pellet that I can use in the wind.

Paul

Wayne. drinking the water son is not going to save you...................like we told you before you should not of drank the Kool- Aid.

Wow Ron,
You've set the bar about as high as it can go! It will be a long time before anyone beats that score!
