Match Director personal note: It is good to be back home & shooting although France was great.
Only 2 250’s today, one each for Ron & Dick. Conditions deteriorated (in my humble opinion) for
the second relay. No one ventured an LV entry today.

Good shooting!...You must be having a good time in OR with that good summer weather....We are finally enjoying summer in MT at 70 F with many sunny days and are trying to shoot at least once a week because our season goes from mid June to the end of September-first week of October at the latest.

What power/velocities are you all using for 50 Meters?
We believe that eventually 50 yards will be the new 25 M distance for BR given the leap advances in technology and accuracy....Non of us has unlimited guns but will like to shoot 50 with our current 20 ft./lb. HV guns if other people are doing it so we have reference points.

What have been your experiences with these 50 Yard classes in regards to popularity, accuracy, international shooting? Is HV already a sanctioned class for 50 yards?

50yds is an experiment for most of us, i turn my gun up to approx 25fpe and shoot JSB beasts 16.2g which are not the best JSB pellets made
not all my BR guns will shoot 50 yd very comfortably. and the winds are crazy at 50yds inside a shooting alley.
i have a lot more experimenting to do before i agree it should automatically be the standard official airgun distance.
the shooters in Arizona and Texas have far more time invested learning the ins & outs of 50yds
if you try 50yds get some official 50yd targets and have fun & keep us informed what you find out.

Thank you Dick...I will start shooting it in between our weekly matches experimenting with pellets and velocities...The scores that Bob Zimmerman shoots at 50 in unlimited very few people can shoot them at 25, but then you and Ron Silveira are the same way in Open...
