I have received an email forwarded from Butch asking if I can help... As a moderator I don't have the abilities to help, I think it is up to you...

This was the email:
Butch, I think I mentioned this before. I cannot post or reply to anything on Benchrest.com. I have an active account and I can log on but it says that I cannot post. I have emailed this Wilbur guy two or three times about it but I never get a response from him. Do you know him? Would he respond to you? I don't think I have said anything inflammatory to anyone that would have caused this. I believe it has been like this for more than a year.

I once lost my ability to post when the forum changed. It was because my name was "used"

Hey Dennis, have Dennis try another name. Something like Dennis_Slade

The names are saved in a database at BRC and there's no isp limit AFAIK

I once logged in a 'penguinboy' or somesuch just to see if I could and it went thru from my comp. Later one of my kids signed in under his name, same isp.

Anyway, try the name change

I've been email challenged since Thanksgiving. I can search for a partial email and for certain a username. Fixed a "Dennis" with a plateautel.net email address.

I fixed a bunch of stuff lately but my email gets returned 90% as undelivered.
 
Thanks for your effort Dennis. Dennisinaz is a very good guy, hunting guide, and builds a lot of his own stuff. I met Dennis when he called me to task for being hard on a member on another forum. We have become good friends. He doesn't post unless he has something to contribute. I hope you work it out for him.

OK, I'm back

I did not see this thread until Butch pointed it out to me.

I tried to get my account working for some time with no success. I just quit visiting. The thread about lubing barrel tenons was linked and got me back to trying again. I appreciate Wilbur fixing my account problem. I will try not to be pest.
