I figured you guys would be the ones to ask. I just picked up a Crossman Sierra Pro rifle (factory rated at 1000 fps) and I'm looking for some suggestions as to what might be the best .177 pellets for this rifle. The rifle will only be used for target shooting. Your suggestions will be appreciated.

You will get much more help and info on the yellow forum. I will hazard a guess that this a spring powered unit, I am not familiar with this model. Velocity ratings are usually done with the lightest pellet available. That does not make them the best for that unit though. The standard .177 rifle pellet weight is around 8 grains. there are many different selections out there. The H&H, RWS, JSB are the better choices. Have fun

Boy Howdy now that's a hard one..just look around and see what the other top shooters in that class is shooting -set up a crono and a good target and some assortment of the top pellets as laied out by Blades above, you just might want to try out some Crosman's say premiers domed 10.5 gr.yes there made in the good old USA.and if your lucky and snag some die lot #2 from1997 you realy in luck and you should run out and buy a lotto ticket ....now!! good luke.H.B.
