Does anybody know Calfee well enough to answer that lapping question I've asked over on Beau's tall tale beau either cant or wont answer it.

I certainly don't know Bill but I think the lapping you refer to is not lapping the whole bore but something he does somehow with the "throat" of the freshly cut chamber. Not really lapping as I think of lapping. He uses what he calls a "hob" made of steel. He does not explain it on the internet, and some may know just what he does but I believe it will be in a book of his someday.
