What's going on w/ Burris

Does anyone know what if anything is going on w/Burris. (specifically w/production of rings)
I have sets of Burris Signature rings on backorder and have been for nearly 3 months. I can find no one that has the rings in stock. If you have heads up, please reply to this post.

Moving their factory,,,where ?
I bought a fullfield II last fall for a hunting rifle,,,Was kind of shocked it came with 'Made in Philippines' markings on it.
I'll be sticking to Leupold for the next one.

I too have had some Sig rings on backorder for 4 months. When I called them, they said it would be around the end of January before they got their ring and base manufacturing facility going again. We're still waiting..........
 
I guess that I was lucky. My order for the Signature Zee Rings was on back order for 5 months. I finally got them on the 18th of Feb and told a friend, he tried to order a set of them a few days later, and they were on back order AGAIN.

I don't remember where I heard or read it but I think Burris was bought out by Beretta or one of the other large off shore companys. Not to many years ago, unlike Leupold, they were still producing there own glass. Don't know if they still are?

Mine came in late Feb. as well after about a 2-3- Month wait from SWFA. 30MM Ex. High Weaver Style so they might have some more on hand so it might be worth a try.

Lime Green. Thanks J., I've already been in contact w/SWFA. Their reply was, not in stock and could not say or give an approximate time for any Burris base/ring . I will try it again tomorrow.

I had a set on order from Midway because it looked like they had them in stock, but they were backordered in Sept 11 and finally arrived in Feb this year. Fortunately there wasn't anything on the packaging indicating that they were made in China or Vietnam (don't have anything against Chinese or Vietnamese, just their governments he says trying to be PC).
