..bbl vise do you guys use to grasp the barrel?? I've had some slipping on some 700's using the empty paper towel roll trick.

Sorry for all the silly questions.

I use paper tape for covering sheetrock joints. It comes in a 250 or 500 foot roll about 2" wide. Pull off a piece off the roll to wrap the barrel. It saves a lot of time cutting up target paper and a roll is inexpensive and will last a long time.
