What is the scoop from River Bend?

Jerry - I went to Riverbend and it was a fairly big event so they said. Had to come back home before the end so all I know is Bart Sauter won the UL200. Tommy McKee and I left before the end of the 100yd UL and I forgot to look at the scores before I left today. Tommy and me took some pictures with Tommy's cell phone and he said he would send them as soon as he figured out how. The match was going well when I left for home!

JD is still not speaking but he said "no" when I asked him if he had a case extractor to help somebody out! The fellow had plenty of time and borrowed another rail, set it up and finished his target without making the group bigger!! At least that's what it looked like to me. I woulda shot one on the edge of the paper for sure....not a whole bullet hole.....just enough that I couldn't get away with it.

Same gang, just older....

Sorry I missed you guys and missed the shoot. By the time I got ready to leave for the range the parking area was full. JD? Never even said hello the entire week at St Louis! Strange!!

I'll bet you and HFV had a happy reunion. I really hate I missed that.

Tommy had a "bug" and I'm sitting here waiting on it to hit me. Maybe it won't! I don't know if y'all know, but attending a group match without bringing anything to shoot is HORRIBLE. Just about everybody there offered up a rifle (JD would have if he had been speaking) but I determined before I left home it wasn't gonna happen. I'm going to find my stuff, clean off some of the rust and shoot one more match maybe...perhaps the Super Shoot.

Congratulations to Bart! He was really shooting good and it appears he kept on doing just that.

Tommy sent me the pictures he/we took and when I figure out how I'll post them.

Don't know what happened,, but about 15 pics are gone... I had good pics of Brady,, Cheryl Hood,,, Summers,,, and more that didn't show when downloading..Ther e were 35, downloaded,, but I had more than 50... As Johnny Webb would say,,,, if I find them,,, "II'llllllll ccaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllll yaaa" but slower than that.
Great to meet Tim Singleton.. I have exchanged e-mail but had never met him,,, great guy.
And not least,, Ms. Cheryl fixed me another fig bread loaf,,, I hoarded it,, and kept if quiet.. I luv Wilbur and offered him some,, but was hop'n heed turn it down.. Great peeeebles ,,, them Hoods

This figuring how is a pain. Must be the part of Georgia you two were in. Tim Singleton sent me pics of the HV and LV 100. I can view them but can't get them to post?? I've I tied them on Win phone, a PC Win8, a PC Win 10, and an iPad?? Opened them in 4 different applications. They just will not copy/paste? Could it be JD's fault or Tommys bug?

I was born before:
' television
' penicillin
' polio shots
' frozen foods
' Xerox
' contact lenses
' Frisbees and
' the pill

There were no:
' credit cards
' laser beams or
' ball-point pens

Man had not yet invented:
' pantyhose
' air conditioners
' dishwashers
' clothes dryers
' and the clothes were hung out to dry in the fresh air and
' man hadn't yet walked on the moon
Your Grandfather and I got married first, and then lived together.
Every family had a father and a mother.
Until I was 25, I called every man older than me, "Sir."
And after I turned 25, I still called policemen and every man
with a title, "Sir."
We were before computer-dating, dual careers, daycare centers, and group therapy.
Our lives were governed by the Ten Commandments, good judgment, and common sense.
We were taught to know the difference between right and
wrong and to stand up and take responsibility for our actions.
Serving your country was a privilege; living in this country was
a bigger privilege.
We thought fast food was what people ate during Lent.
Having a meaningful relationship meant getting along with your cousins.
Draft dodgers were those who closed front doors as the Evening breeze started.
Time-sharing meant time the family spent together in the Evenings and weekends - not purchasing condominiums.
We never heard of FM radios, tape decks, CD's, electric typewriters, yogurt, or guys wearing earrings.
We listened to Big Bands, Jack Benny, and the President's speeches on our radios.
If you saw anything with 'Made in Japan ' on it, it was junk.
The term 'making out' referred to how you did on your school exam.
Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and instant coffee were unheard of.
We had 5 &10-cent (5 and dime) stores where you could actually buy things for 5 and 10 cents.
Ice-cream cones, phone calls, rides on a streetcar, and a Pepsi were all a nickel.
And if you didn't want to splurge, you could spend your nickel on enough stamps to mail 1 letter and 2
postcards.
You could buy a new Ford Coupe for $600, but who could afford one? Too bad, because gas was 11 cents a gallon.
In my day:
' "grass" was mowed,
' "coke" was a cold drink,
' "pot" was something your mother cooked in and
' "rock music" was your grandmother's lullaby.
' "Aids" were helpers in the Principal's office,
' "chip" meant a piece of wood,
' "hardware" was found in a hardware store and.
' "software" wasn't even a word.

We were the last generation to actually believe that a lady needed a husband to have a baby.
We volunteered to protect our precious country.
No wonder people call us "old and confused" and say there is a generation gap.

How do I get this GD pic to copy?

Wilbur,, this is what the doc said,,, You have a virus,,,, Korean Creeping Crud,,,,,,, History::: Ya see,, our boys were sent to Vietnam
My uncle said he was w/older vitamineeze lady w/a cough..
He says he never got it from her.. His story, in his words
I went to Vietnam in 1966, and some of those people had that stuff,,, "Korean Creeping Crud" but I never caught it.
Anyway , our soldiers came home and some had it, and spread it..
The rats toted it for 12 years,,, and now I've got it, and I'm roo'int!

Great shoot'n Bart.
