Folks, I'm someone remembers this company - Pecar-Berlin.

I thought they were planning on BR scope years ago. What ever happened to them?

I will be shooting in La Fare (France) with some German friends the weekend of the 9th of March : I'll ask them and let you know but I think that they may have gone out of the scope business as mentionned in your link. Their BR scopes were very sturdy, but so heavy!

Thanks.

I hope the March scope company has more success. The March threads reminded me of this manufacturer. I have some literature on the scopes and in it, it stated the 45x45 was not available yet....of course the literature goes back when the subject was posted on this board.

Back from La Fare where I enquired about the Pecar scopes: they no longer exist. A friend told me that he would troll through the shooting fraternity and check whether there might be any to be had second hand...
Will keep you posted.

Aything that is made outside the US has increased in cost by up to 40% in the last 2 years. They may feel no one will pay the cost to find out if a new scope works. Of course some don't mind the cost. examples the Marsall and the people who take a $1000 scope and spend up to $600 to make it hold POI. Are we crazy or what?
