The 8 month wait was worth it -- rec'd my Cowan rest in the mail last week and couldn't wait to get to the range to see what it could do. Previously I was using a Caldwell BR front and while it was okay, it was difficult to adjust for windage and I always seemed to have to fight the bag to get the rifle to slide back up to the same spot. I was consistently shooting around 241-244, 4-6x no matter what the conditions were.
My first three targets with the Cowan were 246, 7x; 246 8x and finally 248, 10x! It was a sheer pleasure using the windage top on the Cowan and can't help that the extra weight in it was instrumental as well.
Just thought I'd pass on my positive experience in ordering Cowan's rest and knowing it's supporting his local community makes it even better. A great person and quality machinist to say the least...
