Mark your calendars, coming March 17th and 18th the Western States Air Gun Benchrest Regional Match to the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Ione CA ( http://www.sacvalley.org/contact.html ). Working with Wayne Burns we have reserved the 100 yard benchrest range which has been the site of several national centerfire benchrest championship matches. It is a terrific facility, known for its challenging, shifty winds.

Saturday March 17th we will shoot a World Benchrest Match for Light Varmint and Heavy Varmint classes and a USA Open Class match. Here is a link to the World Airgun Bench rule book describing the requirements for the classeshttp ( //www.wrabf.com/rules/WRABF%20Rimfire%20RULEBOOK%202009-2011.pdf ) and a link to the USA Air Rifle Benchrest page explaining the Open Class rules ( http://www.usairriflebenchrest.com/2594.html ).

The plan for Sunday March 18th will be a Sporter/Hunter match for the popular sporting style airguns The Match will be shot at 25 meters using the World Benchrest 25m target. If you have an air rifle with a wooden or synthetic stock with no adjustable components in .22 caliber of less, 35fpe or less, and some soft bags for rests you are in. Rifles that qualify are Marauders, Rapids, HW100, FX Royale, Cyclone, BSA's AirArms S400/410/510s, Daystate Airwolfs, Mark 3's & 4's, Huntsmans etc. We will also be having an Unlimited 50 Yard match. The only requirement for the unlimited match is the rifle must be .22 caliber of less and we will be shooting a special target for the match. If enough springer shooters participate we will have separate awards for Springer and PCP shooters

Many more details to follow soon including registration, lodging and camping information!
