The program Lilja has is an Exel file, which I can't open/use. The program Pac-Nor has doesn't seem to work for me. Anyone know of the tricks?

I just downloaded it and copied and pasted it to the desktop of my new computer. From the page on his web site, how did you proceed? Check your PMs.

Draw it in CAD in 3D and get the volume of steel and look up the weight of the alloy and there you go. Don't forget to draw the basic bore as well, 22 vs 30 makes a difference. I don't do Excel much, not smart enough.

If you want to use the Excel file, go to www.openoffice.org and download that entire package. Its like Microsoft Office Suite except it is free and will open any MS Office file, .doc., .xls, etc.

Jerry,
Recently, I have done just as you recommended, installing the Apache version. I think that it is also worth mentioning that these applications allow documents to be saved as their Microsoft equivalents, so that they may be opened and modified by those applications. This can come in handy when sending attachments that have not been converted to PDFs.
