Weaver xr scopes

Does any one have any experience with the new Weaver XR scopes in 36 or 46 power. I know that Weaver had problems with the XR 46 at some point and had a recall. Any advice would be much appreciated especially with the 36 power.

I bought a used 36XR a couple years ago & have had 0 problems with mine. I had it on a rf gun but recently switched it to a cf rifle. I'm impressed with the clarity & brightness at the ranges I've shot at which is 50-200 yds. I prefer it over my Leupold Comp.& wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

As an owner of one of the early XR46 scopes and the associated problems I posted on BR Central, I can supply you with my thoughts on the scope in question.
The early problems with this series of scopes did not effect the 24 or 36 power scopes.
The 46 power was prone to either a seal failure that caused small droplets of oil to accumulate on the inside of the objective lens. My initial conversations with weaver, were very positive and they told me they were going to buy back my scope and in the end they bought back all of the 46's. They paid me cost+ shipping as they did for most of the others.
Weaver has since corrected the problem, and the scopes are now available again and I have not heard of any further problems with them. This was a nice piece of glass at a reasonable price point, loved mine but after they bought it back I picked up another Leupold.

Bought my new 46XR from Bruno's this year at the SS = free shipping. I really like it, the only problem I have is, the fine cross hair 1/16 dot that I can 't get the eye piece to bring into focus. I have screwed the eye piece all the way out and in and still not getting a good sight picture. I took my glasses off and the problem was solved, so my solution is to get a pair of shooting glasses with a prescription lens only in the left eye. I did call Weaver and told them about my problem and my solution, they said to send it back and they would check it out, although they have not had a complaint similar to mine.
