I have a question for the resident scope gurus. I sent my Weaver T-36 to ATK for warranty repair. It was not holding zero. It was returned yesterday (took five weeks which I thought was pretty quick considering the backlog Meade probably left ATK). I will not have a chance to function test it for a few days. I am confused by the repair detail sheet they sent. Only two things were checked, “dirty lens, objective” and “other, see comments section”. The comment section said, “Repaired AO. For best performance the scope should be mounted as close to factory zero as possible. Reference included letter for zeroing”. I never had a problem adjusting the parallax on this scope. My question is, can the AO cause the scope not to hold zero?
