Weather meters?

It all depends on the quality of the input infomation.

I run a 4500NV and the NightForce software on a handheld. It put me on paper first shot at 1780 yards so you shouldn't have much problem at 600.

Only problem I have seen is the "true" BC issue. I find that the "proclaimed" BC is often quite wrong and also have trouble getting the correct BC's for the varying speeds. Since I might shoot anywhere between 100 to 1200 in a Tac match I learned the hard way to FIELD VARIFY before I fully trust them. I know this is a benchrest forum but to me there is nothing better than testing a rifle every hundred yards and knowing/being able to make those first round hits.

I made a neat Excel program for a custom data card that I am happy to post or email you if you like. You might need more than one for temp and elevation but you pick a couple to get you through the day and they work! Let me know if you want that file?

I have a Kestrel 1000.
If I take it out of my pocket to measure 23 mph when the temp is 20 degrees, my hand is almost frozen when I put it back.

So I get back in the truck and wait for the wind to die down.

The Antelope cannot hear or smell in the wind, so it makes them herd up and get wary.
