Want to buy a nice used takeoff 22RF bench rest barrel. Tenon size doesn't matter.

I would also be interested in a brand new 22RF bench rest barrel if you have changed your mind and want to try something else.

Send a PM or e-mail bigjgarage@aol.com with specs/dimensions and price

(I hope it is ok to post this here),
thanks guys: joe:)

I still have a gift certificate worth $265 toward purchase of new barrel for Lilja. It was a door prize at an NBASA championship match in Georgia when "Stump" was heading things up. I don't have a need for it and will let it go for $165 OBO. just saying.........

Why not just go to the barrel maker you prefer and put down the $350 to get what you want which can be set up for your rifle? You still have to find someone to install it and set head space. Would solve so many headaches on trying to tune a used one that someone has felt doesnt shoot anymore.
Just my 2 shiney pennies worth.
Bill

I've got a Benchmark 2 goove 17-1/2 twist reverse taper I'll let you have for $200, I paid $300. Thanks, Douglas

I have several. Are you looking for any special length. These are from my switch barrel collection.

I figure on a used bbl the longer the better so i can cut off the tenon and cut, chamber and thread it to fit my Kimber 82G.

I spent all i could scrape up on a lathe so i can learn "how". I can't shoot worth a crap but maybe i can learn to thread and chamber a RF bbl. Maybe on day i will get to that "x". I figure the adventure getting there is gonna be a lot of fun!

Might take a year or 2 but One day i'm gonna at least finish last in a PSL match. thanks joe

Thanks and a quick note..........

Thanks everyone for the e-mails and offers. I bought a Lilja and a Shillen.

Now for a comment: You group of guys here at BC are a wannin species. Mr Joe Friedrich sent me a tracking number today -the odd part i just sent the money today. My barrel is coming to me and he hasn't been paid and he doesn't know me but only from a few post here at BC.

I think i read Mr. Harrell does the same thing. I ordered a weaver from Mr Killough... he took my address and then said the scope will go out Tuesday, then gave me his addy to send a check. I paid by debit card but i think he was about to send the scope before he got payment.

Is there something here in the water at BC that make people do business in a strange way? I like the honor system but did not know it was still alive. Some of you guys are excellent shots but i feel the most valuable thing on this site is Honor and it is practiced. There is no way i can express my appreciation for what you guys are doing, all i got is a thanks. joe

Joe:

Over her on BC you will find that a man's word is good enough, until proven different. I am currently dealing with a well known gunsmith, who is doing some work on one of my BR rifles, and when I asked him how he would like me to pay him, he said "When you get it back, check it out and if you like it, send me a check." Now we are talking hundreds of dollars here. He told me that this is the way he does business and has never failed to receive payment for his work. You are right about the people on BC being a lost breed, but they are well respected and nobody tries to shaft them..
