I have 2 Walther rifles that I need some one to help me build bench rest rifles out of the action. I believe both rifles to be KKMs . I need to have the bolt and actions checked to be sure they are within tolerances to be safe to shoot. Will probably need to be rebuilt . Any help would be appreciated. garrisone .

I went through the search for a Walther KKM smith about a year ago. Virtually no reputable rimfire bench rest smith that I talked with wanted to mess with it.

Earl is the USA Walther guru: http://www.carlwalther.com/

He is likely your best first shot. Carl is nice to talk with and knowledgeable but will also likely tell you he has few parts etc for KKM's.

Then there is Neal Stepp at ISS. He is a wealth of knowledge regarding the old Walthers. Good luck.

Me I kind of retired mine to very occasional irons use just to keep it happy. It looks good in the rack tho....stunning piece of walnut thumbhole position stock. bob finger

Thanks Bob for your reply. Neal Stepp is the guy I want to get in touch with. Hopefully he will be able to help me. garrisone.
