We had 21 shooters today. A very pleasant day. Light wind but tricky conditions. Some very good scores were shot at times and the temps were wonderful (72ish). Kirk Gaston put on a show today that will long be burned in the minds that witnessed it. With a fresh-off-the-showroom floor Gorham Turbo that was christened at the match today, he just lit it up:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

We ran a slick match today folks. It was a 9:00am start and with rotation and awards ceremony, everyone was gone and on their way, place cleaned up, gate locked and I was two miles away headed home at 4:00pm. It could not have been done without the help of the scoring teams, target pullers, folks that took the target frames and backers down, those that swept the brass up and just generally helped a tremendous amount. I truly appreciate each and everyones help.
Our next club match is September 27 with a 9:00am start. Hope to see you all there.

bigredplane can you post the pics you e-mailed me?

bigredplane,
can you post the pics that you e-mailed me? I haven't figured out how to post pics. Please don't use the title that you used. It wouldn't be pertinent. The true title is someone elses.

Kirk

Well Kirk, the only thing I can think to say is, " what happened on the first target"? Great shooting Kirk, are you going to the Nationals?

James,
Don't take anything away from David Petty.......he's won about all there is to win in these parts. Kirk will be at the Nationals as well as myself. Kirk mentioned he had to take a nervous pee around target 2 or 3 and I told a new shooter that it just goes to show you that the top shooters get the willies too! I want you to find me at my cleaning table (usually around the center of the pavillion if I'm able). I saw a post a few days ago about Joe B. and his stomping and stuff and wearing out those red shoes. I've got a great pic of him being stymied by the "Wabash Gremlins" taken by Mark Penrod.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Scott (bigredplane),
Someday we need to have a conversation on how to do that so I can learn. I thank you so much. It gives a visual for those who are on this site that the text just cannot do. "A picture is worth a thousand words". Thanks again and I'll see you next month.

John

Your welcome I like to help out after all the work you do to put on the shoot.
PS. The food was excellent again.

Scott

Scott,
The food was by necessity for this past tournament due to my wife and kids traveling. It was good though. It just goes to show when a really good cook does there best for the time frame to do it....they still shine.

I want to also say that I am glad that Mike Worthington and Bill Wheeler came to Wabash for the 4th time this year. They both qualified for the club championship and being from Michigan.....Wabash is a piece of cake. Thanks guys. I know it has been a few long trips. I've done that before with James G. and it's tough. We were never rewarded for our efforts. But I will for yours. You have done well.

Carp:

We both enjoy shooting at Wabash. The people are great and the range is top notch.:D The last few times we had a motel room the nite before instead of getting up at 2:30AM and trying to do the match in one day. I hope we can make it down at least one more time.

Mike,
I feel guilty that I cannot recipricate. I wish I could make it to more Holton matches. I wish I could make it to a single Cadillac match. I feel guilty buddy. I hope you can make another and I will tell you why. Wish you and Bill could make the Nationals but I know you can't.
