Can anyone suggest a starting load for the .22 BR, 52-53 grain bullets, Federal primers,using VV 130 powder?

I can suggest using a slower powder than N130. I've used both N135 and Reloder 15 in my .22 BR with 50-53 gr bullets with good luck.

Thanks for the post. I am just an inveterate experimenter and wanted to try VV130 in the .22BR just to see how well it will shoot in my .22BR as I have never used 130 in this caliber. Pure curiosity.

V v130
V V 130 worked well in my 30BR. That's all I used in it. I experimented with, I think, Benchmark, V V 130 and Hodgons 4198 and the V V 130 grouped better at 200 yds so I went with it. FWIW.
