Vislia Saturday 10 shot UL

At the start of the day it was decided by all the shooters to just shoot a 5 shot match. As we all like to shoot small groups it was approved. Condition was cold for us and windy.
Lou Murdica was still focused from the Cactus and was shooting his 22 as if there was no condition at all. It was a wonder he did as well, because if you saw his rail gun on Fridayafternoon after his grandaughter hit it with a hammer several times and then he took the base apart in several peices trying to do his best machine work with a super large vise grip and large hammer, he lost the spring that lets you turn the point of aim left and right. So 4 of us walked around the range for over a half an hour looking for it. So Lou went to ACE to find another spring. Don Nielson found the spring in his lube box that was on Lou's bench at that time, but had moved the box to another bench so Don could sight in his rifle. Dennis Thornbury sitting next to Don while doing this saw the spring in Don's box. Called Lou as he was sitting in the middle of the isle at ACE with several boxes of springs to let him know we found it.

Libby just emailed me from the range during lunch while they change from 200 to 100. He said they started this morning with the temp at 39*.

Since Tom, Lou, Don and Lawrence all shot so well during the terrible conditions on Sunday at the Cactus, they all decided to shoot naked today to help keep things challenging. Tom's email says the temp has only raised to 45* at noon and he can't feel anything

Man; I wish I was there!

Saturday's UL

My wife and I drove over to shoot jst the Saturday matchy.(515 miles, 1 way)
Lou is still on a roll. I wish he would start following the "catch and release" mentality.

Your story sounds good except for the fact we were sharing a base and I was on the crappy relay and Lou got all the good conditions on the second relay. :) Pumpkin

Dave see the post from Danl on the web he put it in already. besides my hands are still frozen from yesterday.

I am planning to put a trip together with all the benchrest shooters that want to make it to Ohio with me to see Lou's doctor and find out just what shots he is taking, you know us shooters when someone is winning we all have to follow. I understand from Lou that the shots are not to painful.
