Visalia Unlimited 5-shot Invitational update

The boys and girls shot up a storm this morning!

Gary Ocock .1172
Larry Boers .1650
Mike Sosenko .1726
Tom Libby .1750
Carolyn Libby .1818

Small group for the morning: Ocock .034!!!

I imagine that the group and agg will be submitted for world record consideration.

Hey Lawrence:

Was Ocock shooting on another range? Libby said he was one bullet away from shooting a zero agg.

It is my understanding that Larry Boers edged out Libby for the 200 win in the afternoon.

I'm hoping someone will post more detailed results soon.

Great shooting everyone.

Jeff,
Gary told me on Thursday he was going to try to shoot a zero 100yd agg at visalia this weekend. Looks like he gave it a good try.

I imagine that the group and agg will be submitted for world record consideration.

According to the NBRSA website, Gary's .034 single group UL 5-100 would potentially break the world record held by Ed Watson since 1985 (.050). Gary's .1172 UL 5-5-100 agg would potentially break the world record held by Steve Kostanich since 2003 (.1283). If these hold up as new world records, they easily smash the old marks!

It is my understanding from Tom Libby that Ocock continued to shoot on another range Sunday and ran away with the competition. Hopefully someone will post the final results. Messrs. Libby said there were plenty of very good UL shooters in attendance and Gary was in great form. Tom said Gary had a sparkle in his eye and a smile on his face most of the time.

Congrats to all.
