what a weekend to shoot small groups
we had 26 shooters
since we were going to shoot the first leg of the southwest regionals on sunday, the unlimited 5 shot, we decided to shoot unlimited on saturday also.
Before we go over the results, we must note the passing of two long time visalia shooters: Del bishop and dave thompson
saturday morning was 60 degrees and got up to 90, humidity started in the 60’s and settled at 30
unlimited 5 shot 100 yards
1st place was danny moscaritolo with a .1490
2nd was marty childers with a .1738
3rd was dan lutke with a .1758
there were 6 teen aggs
small groups saw three zeros .093 - .037 - .022
who would think a .037 would not get you small group! Great group marty
yes.022, a potential new world record shot by rich graham with a bag gun!!!!!!!!!
Saturday afternoon: Unlimited 5 shot 200 yards
1st place john verhagen with a .1964
2nd place was marty childers with a .2223
3rd place was danny moscaritolo with a .2429
small group was a .229 by joe stanovich

special mention to james krasczyic, danny moscaritolo’s 11 year grand son shooting a .2042 agg for seventh place at 100 yards
saturday night we had a tri tip bbq put on by the visalia sportsman’s club
sunday morning was the southwest regional 5 shot unlimited
weather was cold and windy temps did get up to 88 but the wind kept it much more comfortable than saturday
we started at 200 yards
