Today was the Visalia Heavy Varmit was shot today to finish up the weekend shoot. It was very cold and windy as we started with the 200yd first at the same bench we left off of on Saturday for the light Varmit. I do not have the match report for the 200 but we had a lot of mirage and the winning ag was in the .3000 something.

New shooter Jeff Welker (Mr. Wigley) shot for the first time at Visalia and did very well considering he shot next to me. No I did not scare him away so we now have one more new bench rest shooter. Jeff has started out right he was suppose to be at his soon to be daughter-in-laws shower, but slipped out the back door when he was asked to go to the kitchen and get drinks, had the truck loaded and ready to go. Not sure if they are still waiting for the drinks, maybe he can tell them the store was further away than he thought. Gary Ocock is Jeff's gun smith and seems to be doing a bang up job on Jeff's equipment but lacking by putting the better barrel on Jeff's gun instead of His.
We felt bad Gary had to leave after driving all that way so we stopped the Frito Lay Truck and gave him a couple of bucks to drive to AZ and give Gary a years supply of CHIPS. (No Dr.Pepper) buy your own.
