Viper Drop port

Will a Viper Drop port that is set up for a 6PPC drop BR? Do they have a different bolt? I seem to remember Jerry stating the BR boltface would extract the PPC brass, but I don't know if they make a PPC only boltface.

I opened the port up slightly on my Grandson's Diamondback drop port. I also rebate the rims to PPC size. I will be shooting my Bat in Denton at the IBS VFS match. I rebated the rims and put a Rock 5R barrel on it. It ejects the brass fine.

One of my shooting buddies bought a Viper Drop Port for a 6mm BR and he also got a bolt for 6PPC (yes they are different bolts) and he can switch barrels and calibers. Yes, PPC can drop through the BR port, but not the other way (unless you do what Butch did).

Works well unless you bring the wrong bolt and barrel to a match. :eek:

I have a Viper Drop Port - PPC only and I am very happy with it.

I have two PPC drop ports, one has a 30BR bbl and the other has a 30PPC bbl. I had to open up the neck area of the drop port so the 30 sized neck would fall through. I rebated the rims on the 30BR brass which makes it universal brass. Will work in either bolt face.
 
I have a Viper with a .473" bolt face (br, 308, etc.) and it extracts my ppc cases wonderfully.

Seems Jerry told me when I ordered my action that the 6br would fall out of the drop port of the ppc just fine.:confused:
