Velocity Q

I have some different brands and batches of ammo that performs pretty well in my barrel, selected at the Eley factory.

But I have never measured the velocity. If I did;
- let's say that my Eley batch has 1075 fps in average.
If I find another Eley batch from the same machine with the same speed, is it likely that it also will perform pretty well?

Just trying to figure out how important it is to look for a velocity evenness when I batch test next time.

Likely, yes. For sure, no. There are other variables. Good place to start though.

No, I had some great ammo off the 4 machine at 1080. When another lot of 1080 from the same machine showed up I bought 3 cases. It didn't shoot in the gun nearly as well as the other lot. Lesson learned!
