I see a number of people using a umbrella that clamps to the bench top. It is being used to block the early morning sun. I would like to purchase one but I have been unable to find out where or who makes and sells them. I would appreciate any informtion for purchasing one.

Jazzy-I've made several of them. Get a coiled fishing rod holder from W-Mart. Weld it to a steel C clamp. Make sure the golf umbrella fits in the coil. Voila! It's hard to find steel clamps but some of the iron ones can be welded. I don't weld but a friend of mine made me several. V/R Greg

Jazzy,

The ones you may have seen at Palmetto Gun Club we most likely made and sold by Charles Waters of the Columbia area.

Henry or one of the Lexington guys may chime in with his contact info.

Jazzy at one club we have wood benches. Bought some big wood screws with eyelets. Opened up the eyelets. And used patio umbrellas. That way you set it up and don't have to move it.
Another club. Walmart umbrellas. clamped to wood blocks clamped to the bench with big c-clamps. But, these are small and real cheap. You have to move the umbrella after each relay. A real pain. And about the 4th relay. It does not work at all.
But, better than nothing.

There were some listed in the classifieds section last time I was there.
