UBR welcomes Red River Rifle Range

For anyone interested, this range is located near Adairville, Ky. It's about an hour southwest of Bowling Green, Ky, and 30 minutes from Clarksville and Springfield, Tn. It's a small range but Darrel has already mentioned expansion. UBR matches are tentatively to be held the third Saturday of each month during the season. Darrel doesn't do computers but you can contact Rick Fox or myself for details.
The first match was a good one and very competitive to the end. Most of the regulars have been shooting at this range for a while and are tough to beat. I think it's going to do well.

Any chance their matches will be added to the schedule on the UBR website?

Danny has been sent the schedule and I'm thinking he will add them in when gets the time to do it. As Mike said above, unless something unforseen happens, their matches will be held on the 3rd Saturday of every month @ 9:00AM thru October . Also, as Mike said, you can contact either of us for specifics including detailed directions. I don't have a street address as it is literally in the edge of a wheat field.

Hi Rick,

Doesn't that kinda conflict with the matches at Buckcreek that Jackie holds? Ooops that only conflicts with the registered IBS score matches, Jackie is having a UBR shoot next Saturday.

Dan, we discussed that. Unfortunately, every weekend had some sort of conflict, and to make it happen, the third weekend was the only viable option. We hope that both do very well. I doubt it will affect many regulars at either place and I plan to make some shoots at Jackie's as well. More people shooting BR can only be good for both in the long run. I hope that the new club will foster shooters that will attend matches at Buck Creek and other ranges in the near future. The hook is set:D We can only hope to grow a membership that contributes to the sport, overall. Maybe a few will attend the UBR Nat's, too. There is a bit different mindset to overcome when dealing with people that live in areas where they can shoot at home vs. those that MUST travel to go shoot. So far, so good though.
