Yesterday was a good day at Gallatin. The morning started with some thunder showers, but they had past by the time most of the shooters arrived at the range. We had an equal number for Factory Class and Custom with one each in Unlimited and Modified (total 15 shooters). I am encouraged to see the growth in the Factory Class as this is usually where the new participants start. One of the new guys (3rd match) won both yardages and the Grand in Factory with a new Savage 6BR, 12" twist. Bobby Cagle edged out Ron Jackson for a change in Custom @ 200 and in the Grand. Mike Ezell took 1st @ 100.
The conditions were the best I've seen at Gallatin in at least a couple of years. Two years ago on this match day, the Nashville flood began. Yesterday was great with blue skies and gentle breezes.
