Has anyone heard about these scopes? Are they really military scopes. It is 3-25x56mm with the ranging Mil-dot (looks like Horus ranging reticule) that is rear plane focal engraved. 30mm tube with 1/8" elevation & windage adjustments.

The scope is supposed to be a + or - $3000.00 scope.

What would be a good price for a used one in really good shape?

Hey Guys,
These things have been reviewed on a few different places on the net. The basic consensus? All show, and no go...
Basically they have been called junk by reviewers. The models they displayed at SHOT, were apparently a dead ringer for some fairly low end scopes from a maker that went out of business, and it's been suggested they got their inventory by buying up the other companies gear when they went under. They advertise Military overruns, but the reality is they aren't in use by any branch of the Military.
If you think about it, how many fifty dollar scopes do they need to sell for two grand or more, before they've recouped their total investment and then some? When many folks assume price dictates quality, then it's a natural that some will buy them just because they cost the most.
Don't believe the hype...
Respectfully,
Harry

I got this on another forum:

"I cant say how rugged they are, but the glass is pretty impressive for the price. The mechanicals seem pretty repeatable. I tried one of those box tests and it worked great. I shoot at 600 and 100 a great deal with my .308 and I just crank on the scope and it seems just as reliable as the super sniper I took off the gun but it has variable power. The lighted reticle is pretty cheesy, but I actually like the scope pretty well. It aint no nightforce or even a leupold but for the money its working out pretty good so far, time will tell".

GT40,

If I were building a sprinter, what would be a fair price for a '78 Merc Grand Marquis? In great shape, I've heard it's a $5000.00 car......

If it were six years newer, it would be a $4500.00 car, at least to the Federal Government...............

IF you got $3000 for Glass

Get the Nightforce F1, 3.5x15.50mm in mil reticule. $2300 shipped, with rings from most dealers and all the scope you need to 1000-1200 yards.
