Two quick questions

What is a normal length of pull for a F open gun? I know it varies but I need a range for an average height person.

What is the elevation come up needed from 100 yards? About again. 6.5/284 with a 142 SMK.

2 Quickies

As far as LOP is concerned --- its your body.
avg 13.5-15.5 but you have to feel comfortable.

I'd advise an adj. butt stock. that will give you add'l length of pull and adjustable cant, which you will likely want as well.

As far as your scope mount goes you may want to add a rail with 20-30mm advance. some actions (Surgeon for ex.) come with a 20mm bump milled right in.

I have been helping with a prototype action that we built into an F-Class rifle. We have an adjustable plate on it, that is why I was looking for a range. I think we have it a bit long right now, and will have to cut it down some.

I zeroed the rifle at a 100 yards, and just wanted to be close when I shot it at a 1000. 23.5 minutes up, and I ended up with the first shot on the edge of the 9 ring @ 7 o'clock. I think I ended up around 24 minutes elevation.
