Two New Future Benchrest Gunsmiths!!!!

Two rifles my students Adam Rehor & Jacob Couie built in a week and half for their interview with McMillan Stocks tomorrow after the Cactus Classic.

Ryan McMillan Donated the EDGE stocks to Adam and Jacob.
Adam & Jacob fit and chambered the barrels.
Spyder webbed the barrels.
Filled miss matched bolt handle cuts and loading port and re-jellcoated the stock to match original colors.
Cut cooling ports.
Made weight systemed butt plates by hand from 1/4 aluminum stock and hand fit with with files.
Bedded and glued the stocks.
Blueprinted the actions to my specs.
Blueprinted the Jewel triggers to work at .5 oz.
Polished the actions and rings.
Lapped & bedded the rings.
Installed the carbon fiber stock tape.

I just wanted to show that all of todays youth are not lazy jack-asses, some are still capable of amazing us with desire, enthusiasm and great work ethic. This makes teaching rewarding.

It is good to see that we still have a bright future in our youth!

Nice rigs

And I suppose the TEACHER had no influence on the students;) Great looking rigs. Tell'em good luck in their interviews.

Very nice work!

Looks like these guys are learning well!

Keep up the good work in Trinidad!
Was the picture taken on the front lawn of Romero?

Fantastic Rifles

Wow. What spectacular builds!

Speedy, I took the numbers of your students that I found in another thread that you had posted for an McMillan Edge Butt Plate, and Jacob has agreed to build me one. What a great piece for the Edge Stock

Believe it or not, I cannot wait to ship my new MCM Edge stock off to have it fitted!

As I'm sure you always hear, fantastic work. It takes a great level of skill to be able to do something of that quality, but it takes a whole new set of skills to be able to take your knowledge and pass it on to another.
