You take a beyond the muzzle tuner and instead of threading it – you matched the taper of the barrel so that it would have 1 to 2 thou larger taper to permit gluing. Then use some type of compound like (JB WELD) to adhere it to the barrel.

I'd think it'd work just fine till you needed to get it off, then it'd be a pain in the butt. I really, really, really don't believe that some light threading at the muzzle opens up anything, especially the bore.

Come to a match at Denton, Tomball or Midland and watch some of the country's best shooters using threaded tuners to shoot small groups. The results sorta speak for themselves.
