The easy way is to buy a new bowl and designate that one to coating bullets.
I bought a seperate cheap tumbler just for bullets because it would be to much work to clean, and my time was worth more than the $35 I paid for the Frankford arsenal tumbler.

Look at Harbor Freight, and pick up one of their small "rock" tumblers.
Buy a few cartons of BBs, and throw those in with your bullets to "cushion" them.
The things appear to be a pretty faithful copy of the little Lortone tumblers, which I've used for over 35 years. Damn. I feel old.
