Hi,fella's!
I'm an old geezer who is a tenderfoot in the bench-rest game, and I sure would appreciate your advice on this:
I got a CZ 453 American(.22) last year to play with the other retirees at our gun club.I use a Caldwell Rock BR rest, protektor bags, etc. and the CZ has a Sightron Big Sky 36XBR scope on it.
The 453 trigger is adjustable for sear engagement, pull weight, and overtravel.
We shoot BR at 50 & 100 yards, mostly for group. Even though the other guns include Win 52's,Kimber 82's,a Schultz & Larson, and a couple mid-level Anschutz - the CZ didn't do too bad.
I'm in the process of pillar bedding it now,but those questions are on hold until I get some pictures of the factory bed.
I'd like to try a tuner on this gun and would like to get it ordered soon.
It has a tapered barrel that measures 0.5698" at the muzzle and 0.5830" one inch back.
I don't want to get the barrel threaded so I'd like to try a clamp-on tuner.
Based on info from old threads and Mr.Calfee's articles in PS,I'd also like a tuner with additional weights that overhang the muzzle.
I think the Hoehn and Harrelson tuners may fit the above criteria.
Are there any other tuners that I should consider?
Thanks,guys !!
