Tubing micrometer for neck thickness

I prefer pin mics over ball end mics personally. But the micrometer in the photo has a very small pin diameter, and would have second thoughts about that part. NSK or one of them sells a pin mic with what looks like a .196" dia. pin. If memory is right they can be had for around $80
