What more can we ask for……we had another beautiful day in Washington.
This was the last TRRC “TRIAD” match held as a “Rifle Only” Event.
Next month, July, we will continue with the “TRIAD” format of three distances, but will replace the 50 foot Rifle distance with “Bench Rest Pistol”. Many of us have missed the “Old Days” at BAR shooting our Target Pistols. Well, by popular demand, we have brought the venue back. Get those IZZYs and ALPHAs and CROSMAN pistols out of the safe and recheck your ZEROs!!!!!!
The total number of shots for the match has been reduced from 153 to 123! NEW: 49P+49R+25R=123
The morning started off cool, but then the sky turned light blue with light white clouds and the Sun Was Shining to warm us up……….. and the WIND returned from vacation (or wherever it was)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE DAY WAS STILL BEAUTIFUL………… and that was the story for the rest of the day.
We had reservations for a “Full House” of 13 but ended with 12 shooters (9 PCP and 1 Springer for competition, 1 PCP for practice (.20 Cal) and 1 for “Introduction Class” that shot both PCP and Springer)
John Wallsinger and I have been talking on the computer for a while and today he joined us and shot in the “Introduction Class”. I have set this class up for those folks that are interested in our hobby but have no equipment. Exposure to the two primary different propulsion means and after discussion with the established shooters in our group hopefully will guide a person to make an initial educated purchase rather than buying something they regret later. Safe Queens!! Sound familiar??
Ron Hanson joined us today to shoot his BM500 for the first time in competition. He shot in “Practice Class” since his rifle is .20 Caliber.
The battle for the podium was tight again, but this time it was between with Tim Wilson and Ron Yatso leading the pack. The same as last time, Tim took off and ran to the top spot with a 1360/62x over Ron’s 1300/41x. They were the only two in the 1300s. Tim wrapped up the 50 foot, 25 & 50 Yard distances.
I don’t recall anyone having ever made a “Clean Sweep” at one of our TRIAD Matches before.
BTW, the maximum possible score is 1480/148X.
Again, we had no one to post a DNF today. Yea!!
Harvey won all levels of the Springer Class…First, Second and Third…”ALL BY HIMSELF”…. again!
Thanks again for help with the scoring, Terry.
Sue and JD brought Brownies and Cupcakes and Tim brought donuts.
Overall, as always, it was another great day of Air Gunning here in the Pacific North West.
