Triggers for Mellinium action ?

Triggers for Millenium action ?

There's a fellar down the road from me that wants to use one of these actions for long range br & needs a good trigger for it (like a 2oz. br trigger) got any suggestions for him ? (Other than buy a new action...)

It's not likely that you'll get a workable 2 oz trigger for one.

The Millennium uses belville washers to drive the firing pin & they store quite a load. When the action was first launched, they had problems with the supply of parts for their trigger & issued some with Jewell highpower weight triggers - quite a few failed.

The lightest you're going to get a reliable trigger down to is maybe 10-11 ounces, according to all the chasing up I've done for mine, which I use for F class & 1000 yard BR.

It will always be a compromise. Even if you could luck onto a light trigger, you still have the extreme (relatively speaking) cocking effort as a consequence of the 4 lug design & the problem that it moves the rifle around in the bags big time.

Tell him to get a BR action & sell the Millennium of to a Palma shooter.
