I know Rifle Basix makes the SV-2 Trigger and Sharp Shooters Supply also, makes one much cheaper. anyone know if the Rifle Basix is worth the extra money $150.00 vs $99.00 for the SSS Trigger? or maybe even a better choice then either one, in the same price ranges? Thanks! :)

What's the lowest trigger pull you're trying to obtain ???

Triggers for Savages...

1. Factory trigger old style with side spring wire, Accutrigger, Target Accutrigger.

2. Sharp Shooters Supply triggers Old style( 12oz min), Sharp Shooters Supply "Evolution trigger", (4oz) on a good day.

3. Rifle Basix Sav-1 (16 oz) on a good day, Sav-2 (4-8 oz) on a good day.

4. Timney Trigger 16 oz on a good day.

With any of the aftermarket triggers the safeties become unreliable on the lower settings.

Jewell has a Savage trigger that has not been marketed.

There is a great need for a high quality 4 lever trigger. The Evolution Trigger in mine and others opinion is it is not on the scale of a Jewell trigger.

Evolution trigger..

Fred, one of your former customers sent his action complete with Evolution trigger to me for chambering a new barrel. He could not get the over travel out without the trigger locking up (bottom lever would not drop). Bob Greenleafs trigger is a good concept but in my opinion and others its current components and construction are still inferior to the quality of a Jewell trigger. The Savage shooting community is still waiting for a true BR quality trigger. We all have had our hopes that Jewell would bring their product to the market and it would be as good as their Remington replacement triggers.

It is not my intent to bash your product or anyone elses. It also was not my intent to hijack this thread. The original poster just asked what was available that fit Savages.

It is my understanding that Brian Jewell has no plans to market a Savage replacement trigger. However, as Savage's become more and more popular, as they seem to be doing, he may change his mind.
