trigger question

I just put a Rifle Basix in my predator action. I have played with the trigger and i feel i have it set pretty good. Maybe not the 2oz as described but not bad either. Anyway now the bolt feels a little stiff to open on a dropped firing pin (non loaded) Does the trigger have any effect on this? I dont really see how but i thought i would ask. Lee

Take the trigger out and retest. That should tell you. You could blacken the entire cocking piece and look at how it rubs, with and without the trigger in place. I suppose that it is possible for a trigger side plate that was knocked over during installation to rub, or a problem with the top lever ( that engages the cocking piece) havining too little travel or binding. Let us know what you discover.

Try backing off on the overtravel adjustment. I just put a Rifle Basix in my 700 only an hour ago. When working with the overtravel adjustment I found that if I turned the screw in too far the bolt was hard to rotate.

I am not real sure what the deal is. I put my shilen trigger back in and all is good. I think the rb trigger sits to high in the stiller predator action?? Lee
