I tried some 65gr Berger BT bullets this morning at 200 meters, and was pleasantly surprised by the performance!!
My dad and I preloaded some ammo last night, and drove out to the range this morning. I loaded it just touching the lands, with about 29gr of powder behind it, my dad loaded his about the same, little bit less powder.
We had quite a strong tail wind, with small switches from left to right. My first group measured 0.554", for me that is great (remember we shoot metres and not yards). Shot another and got caught out on one shot....measured 0.788" Had a pie and a juice, then shot another group, by now the wind was blowing slightly more over my shoulder, waited it out and shot a 0.335". All in all I am very surprised at the performance of these BT at 200meters...
My dad shot some descent groups as well, just thought he needed little bit more powder....
Definitely some potential there!
Oh yes, I shot some Barts Headhunters for the first time last weekend at a competition....... as Bart's website says, I am still struggling to get the erection down...
