Tragedy in Temecula

Well maybe not tragic, but a definite bummer.

The Temecula group of airgunners is no longer affiliated with IFP for their benchrest matches.

And it really is a shame. And thats about all that I want to say about that.

The San Diego tribe is still going to host AGBR Matches on a monthly basis (schedule out soon), hopefully starting in January. Fees are still being negotiated, and I'm cautiously optomistic that they will be less than last year.

Hope to see everyone there, and want to especially re-invite all the great shooters up north.

Regards, Johan Harris (aka John, aka Gordon Gauge)

OH YEAH, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Not that big a deal

We will still be having matches, we just won't call em IFP. No biggie, not like IFP was all that big anyhow.

Well, maybe we could hold the AGBR Match at your place.

The general manager down here at Project 2000 range is giving me a real hard time. He will not lower the range fee, which is $125 for 4 hours. No matter that I built the godamn thing. He won't even give me a schedule for 2009, but has time to schedule everybody else. You would think that the Vice Presidink of the Board of Directors would be cut some slack, but noooooo. I personally donated $700 and my late friend Mike Desaire donated $800, and I did fund raisers to the tune of another $750ish in order to pour the slab, put up the cover, and build the benches. Oh yeah, Mike and I built the freaking benches too, and that was a lot of cement mixin'.

Uh, o.k., rant over. Whew!

But that might work out if you would be interested in having sanctioned matches under AGBR. I have all the stuff, targets, scoring software (thanks Bill) etc. All you would have to do is provide the range.

John,

Email me. I'm pretty sure we can get something like what you are discussing going.
