Well I got the barrel free floated, changed the stock trigger to a Rifle Basix unit and now have a one pound trigger, which is where I wanted it! before it was 4.6 pounds! Next I'm going to change the action screws so it will be easier to torque the action with consistency. The problem is I can't find anything as to the torque values I should be using! If someone could give me a "ballpark figure I would appreciate it! I have also found that neck sized brass from a different rifle doesn't work too well! So I think I am going to take the ones apart that I have loaded and wait until I can get a full length sizing die set and try again! any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! Doug

Front and rear screws good and tight, middle screw just snugged up...

Good and tight is usually 4 foot pounds or less.

I never mix brass from different rifles...

The function of the stock screws is singular....... they're to hold the handle on the gun. If changing the torque changes poi, if changing the torque makes the gun shoot "better" or "worse" then the bedding is well and truly buggered. PROPER bedding is the key.

Torque?? Make 'em tight enough to hold the hannle on

The rifle is from 1977 according to the serial number, and when I got it, the barrel had been fully bedded. so far I have free floated the barrel back to within an inch or so to the recoil lug and have installed a Rifle Basix trigger. it is now at 22OZ and is just fine I am going to start evaluating different loads and get used to shooting a centerfire again!
I haven't shot anything in over 35 years, and now I have a CZ452 that I started shooting about a year and a half ago! I have had one of these before, but it was a pre-64
model 70, 22-250I used it to hunt coyotes west of Las Vegas, on the sheep ranches there and plan to do the same with this one!I'm just looking to get it dialed in! Thanks all! Doug

35 INCH pounds if it is a wood stock.

I would bed the action and free float the barrel all the way.

The center screw just so it will not fall out........................very lightly.

Brass is important. Start with new Lapua if possible.

I have some once fired Winchester brass, and some new Norma brass, I also have some Federal brass that are factory loads and I will get into those after I shoot them. At this point I think the real problem it the nut squeezing the trigger! I think from what I have heard here I should get it dialed in before winter! Thanks all! Doug
