Folks, we're finalizing meal plans for the big matches at Salem in two weeks and I could use a fairly accurate head count to take to the club meeting on Wed. Less than a week to go till the the matches at Salem and as of today, it looks like we'll have around 18 shooters. At our club meeting last Wed. we decided on the match fees, $25 per match, and a meal plan. Lunch won't be fancy, just burgers, dogs and salads, but it will be included in your match fees each day, whether you shoot one match or all four. As always, there will be soda and water available free of charge both days, too.

For those looking for a place to stay for the weekend, I just got word that the Blue Willow Motel in Cambridge (12 miles from the range) still has rooms available. The number there is 518-677-3552.

I'll post the expected weather conditions later in the week. Let's hope it doesn't get too hot or rain!

Penny and I will drop by the range Friday for a visit. Don't think we will practice...don't want to "over-train"! :D

If anyone plans to be in town later than 5pm and wants to practice, let me know and I can spell Pete at the range. I'll probably be there practicing myself, trying to get my gun to shoot in the heat....The last weather report I saw was calling for 85 and humid on Sat. and 87 on Sunday, no rain either day.:D

Weather Update

Folks,
I just checked the weather forecast for Salem for this weekends match. They're calling for 88 degrees, humid with 0-2mph winds on Sat, and 86 degrees with winds topping out at 6mph on Sunday...Good thing I've got lots of 250 pins;)

Would you like me to bring along some more, just in case? Those sound like some awesome conditions, other than for the humidity that is.

Start time is 9am both days. There was a little confusion because we usually shoot on Sundays and start at 10am.
