Could someone measure the bullet over all length and the bullet base to olgive on their Barts Ultra 22 cal 52 grain bullets.
Example; Berger’s 52 grain FB match bullets are about .705 in overall length and their bullet base to olgive is about .258.
I’m having a barrel cut and I need to figure how far out the lands should be for where I want the bullet base to set in the case neck. I have dummy rounds made up with Berger’s to send to Shilen but I’d feel more comfortable if I knew where the base sits in the neck with Bart’s bullets.
I’m picky about the seating depth since I’ll be using 52 to 70+ grain bullets.
I have a few Berger’s in hand but none of Barts. And Bart is out a way on his next run of 22’s.
I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks, Bill Cook, NBRSA, Stl BR Club member.
