Timney Trigger After Action Report

I ordered a Timney trigger about 4-days ago and recieved it by UPS delivery today. Timney handled the order promptly, and the trigger fit perfectly.

Timney has an additional service that I liked, they will set the trigger at your prescribed pull. In addition, they through in an orange flavored Tootsie Roll Pop in the box.

For future reference; a good product and excellent service.

Timney 700 trigger

I replaced a new rem trigger with a Timney trigger, since it comes with all the safety parts. With no adjustment, the customer was happy.

The original rem trigger had been dinked with & was unreliable. In reality, it was just adjusted too low, but the customer lost all faith in it & wanted it replaced.

The Tootsie Roll Pop was Great

The Tootsie Roll Pop makes the trigger installation go much better. The trigger replacement took about 2-minutes, the Tootsie Roll Pop takes about 5-minutes to consume.

I took the rifle to the range today with the new trigger. I was suprised about the trigger setting. I normally shoot using a 3 lb pull, the 2 1/2 lb pull is noticeably lighter with the 1/2 lb difference. I can't comment on the durability of the trigger since it's new, but it does break nice.

I have read some posts about triggers being set in ounces, they must go off when you breathe on them.

I put this rifle together from a box of junk, all I was looking for was something to go boom. I had no expectations of this rifle doing much of anything.

After getting it put together, and shooting 7.62 NATO Australian God knows what in it. I get it dialed in and it starts to print cloverleaf patterns shooting off the bench.

I really did not need another 308, and most of all I did not want another black hole to throw money into.
