Tight Primers...

A friend of mine is shooting a 6.5 x 47 L. With the lapua brass he is complaining that CCI 450 primers are damn near impossible to remove after firing... Says it takes excessive force to decap... Any thoughts on this?

I'll bet he is using a standard decapping pin not the smaller size needed for the Lapua case.

No I already asked..It's only the #450's.

only had tight primers about 50 years ago, it always went off just before I pulled the trigger
